Description
Hal and Jasmine Francis are a multimillionaire couple in New York living a life of mansions, yachts, and wealthy friends. Then smooth-talking Hal is exposed as a crooked financier and goes to prison where he commits suicide. With nowhere else to go, Jasmine moves into her sister's lower-middle-class apartment in San Francisco to try to pull herself back together again.
Jasmine's life improves when she meets wealthy Dwight Westlake, who wants to become a California Congressman. He wants to marry Jasmine until he learns that she lied to him about who she is.
